Story: The contest was held on September 21st, 2003 in Riverside, CA. Team Combat Wings showed up at the event with a brand new wing never seen before, the Cyclone. The competition was blown away by its power and stability in heavy winds. The Cyclone has set a new standard in competition flying wings, do you have yours yet? 2003 Full Throttle R/C Combat - 1st Place - 3 Way Tie

Competitors: 40+
Story: The contest was held on June 14th, 2003 in Hood River, OR. There was a 3 way tie for 1st place and all 3 of the 1st place winners won with the Combat Wings XL. No other wing even came close to beating the XL’s. As one pilot said, “everyone wanted an XL by the end of the contest.” Again and again the XL Combat Wing proves itself by winning major combat contests, do you have yours yet? 2003 Eaglebutte Slope Bash - 1st Place

Story: The contest was held on March 22nd 2003 at the Eaglebutte Slope in Richland, WA. There was a great turnout of over 40 contestants with many from out of the local area. Conditions were very strong at 50+ mph with a very skilled group of pilots competing. Only the best will survive in these types of conditions. Once again, the XL took 1st place. The XL hasn’t lost a major competition since it was released early 2002. Even with all the similar sized wings out there, the XL is still the best and proves itself time and time again.
2002 La Sierra Slam (Combat Class) - 1st Place

Competitors: 40+
Story: The contest was held on March 16th, 2002 at the La Sierra Slope in Riverside, CA. There was an excellent turnout of over 40 competitors. The best from all over Southern California and others from surrounding states. Conditions were phenomenal with winds of 30+mph almost all day long. Classes were split into the “Pro Class” and “Combat Class.” The wide chord wings (XL’s) were in the Pro Class and the standard chord wings (XR’s) were in the Combat Class. After the day was over, the Combat Wing XR was the 1st winner in the Combat Class, also taking 3rd place.
2002 Man on Man Slope Racing - 1st Place
Pilots: Jerry Molnar
Planes: Combat Wings XR
Competitors: 15+
Story: The contest was held on Father’s Day, 2002 at Bear River Ridge in Eureka, CA. There were several rounds of very competitive racing with conditions about 10 mph most of the day. There were very few wings in the competition as wings are not often thought of as slope racers. But, at the end of the day, the Combat Wing XR was the winner and added another victory to the growing list since its inception January, 2002.

Cloud Busters Electric Pylon Race - 1st Place

Planes: Combat Wings XE Speed 400
Competitors: 20+
Story: At the Cloudbusters Flying Field in Royol Oak, MI on November 2nd, 2002 another contest was won by a guy flying a Combat Wing. The field was swamped with Zagi-400’s. There was only one XE Speed 400 in the race with over 20 competitors. When it was all said and done, the XE walked away with 1st place. Do you have your XE yet?
